Archive Legacy Action

About

The Archive Action works with compressed files. It can be used to backup log files, as in the following example, although compression can be used when sending attachments via email when saving space on servers, and so on.

Workflow tab

1. The Write Variables option ensures that the “Package Action” logs the variable values into the “Action vars before log file” before the action is executed and logs the updated variable values into the “Action vars after log file” after the action completes.
2. It is usually used for debugging and not recommended for production environment.
3. It can be globally disabled using options dialogue

Advanced tab

With the compression facility, you can compress items and decompress them as required. The location of the zip file and the files to compress are specified, as illustrated below:

After execution tab

Specifies which variables will be set once action execution is completed
