The Execution Agent is a Microsoft Windows service designed to automatically execute scheduled actions, including packages, transformations, imports, and SQL scripts.
The Execution Agent can be installed either via the command line or the user interface.
To install the Execution Agent as a service, execute the following command:
aetlagent.exe /INSTALLfor Advanced ETL Processor
vimpagent.exe /INSTALLfor Visual Importer ETL
This command registers the Execution Agent as a Windows service, allowing it to manage and execute scheduled tasks automatically.
If the Execution Agent is already installed, it must be uninstalled before performing a new installation.
To uninstall the Execution Agent as a Windows service, run the following command:
aetlagent.exe /UNINSTALLfor Advanced ETL Processor
vimpagent.exe /UNINSTALLThis command removes the Execution Agent from the system, allowing for a fresh installation or configuration update.
Another way to control Agent status is through email notifications
