Validating Strings

String validation rules in Advanced ETL Processor allow you to check text values and identify invalid or missing data during the ETL validation process. Use these rules to validate alphabetic and alphanumeric values, detect NULL or empty strings, check prefixes and suffixes, compare values, and verify other common string conditions.

Is Alpha

Checks if the data contains only Alpha characters

Is Alpha Numeric

Checks if the data contains only Alpha Numeric characters

Is Empty String

Checks if the data is Empty String. (Length of the string is zero)

Is Ends With

Checks if the data ends with supplied value

Is Equal To

Checks if the data is equal to supplied value

Is Hex

Checks if the data contains valid HEX string

Is Null

Checks if the data is equal to null.

Is Null or Empty String

Checks if the data is Is Null or Empty String. (Length of the string is zero)

Is Starts With

Checks if the data starts with supplied value
