Demo Data

In order to showcase the diverse types of data the Advanced ETL Processor can handle, we have provided a variety of file types for demonstration purposes.

Along with these data files, we also offer SQL scripts that can be used to create database tables in both Oracle and MS SQL Server, further demonstrating the software’s broad compatibility and flexibility.

Text files

Examples provided are using text files in

C:\Users\Public\Documents\DBSL\Demo\Buffer and\
C:\Users\Public\Documents\DBSL\Demo\Text Files

Demo Tables

To begin using the provided demo files and SQL scripts, follow these instructions to create the necessary tables for both Oracle and MS SQL Server.

Oracle

1. Adjust Connection Details
   Before running the SQL script, ensure you update the connection details (e.g., username, password, host) to match your Oracle database configuration.

2. Create Demo Tables
   Execute the provided SQL script for Oracle to create the required demo tables. This will set up the necessary structure for importing and testing the data.

MS SQL Server

1. Adjust Connection Details
   Update the connection details in the script, including the database name, username, and password.

2. Create Demo Database
   If the DEMO database doesn’t already exist, create it using the following SQL command:

   CREATE DATABASE DEMO;

3. Create Demo Tables Once the DEMO database is set up, run the provided SQL script to create the demo tables within the DEMO database.

Note: These steps are intended to ensure that the database structure is set up correctly before importing data into the demo tables.

ODBC Connections

During the installation of the Advanced ETL Processor , the following ODBC Data Source Names (DSNs) are automatically created:

• ODBC_FOXPRO
• ODBC_ACCESS_SOURCE
• ODBC_ACCESS_TARGET
