Import Scripts

Background

The Import Script feature was introduced in Advanced ETL Processor to maintain compatibility with Visual Importer ETL. Unlike the Transformation feature, the Import Script focuses exclusively on data import functionality. It also provides a slight performance advantage when loading data compared to using Transformation.

Should You Use Import Script or Transformation?

Import Scripts work well with high-quality data sources. However, for all new projects, we recommend using Transformation due to its extensive functionality and flexibility, making it more suitable for complex data processing tasks.
