How to Copy Data from PostgreSQL to SQL Server CE - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a PostgreSQL Connection using server name, port, database name, and login credentials
- Create a SQL Server CE Connection by specifying the database file (*.sdf)
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and choose New to begin building your workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader and select your PostgreSQL connection
- Choose a table or write a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer and choose the SQL Server CE connection
- Select the destination table and insert mode (append, replace, or truncate)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map source fields from PostgreSQL to destination fields in SQL Server CE
- Convert data types and apply transformations if needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Data from PostgreSQL will be copied into SQL Server CE with logging, validation, and error handling enabled.
