How to Copy Data from PostgreSQL to BDE - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a PostgreSQL Connection by entering server, port, database, username, and password
- Create a BDE Connection by selecting the BDE alias or database directory
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and choose New to begin creating your data flow.
3. Configure Reader
- Open Reader Properties by double-clicking the reader
- Select the PostgreSQL connection
- Choose a table or define a SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Open Writer Properties by double-clicking the writer
- Select the BDE connection
- Specify the destination table and insert mode (append, replace, truncate)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Match PostgreSQL fields with BDE destination fields
- Apply transformations or adjust formats if needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). The system will copy data from PostgreSQL to your BDE-connected database with full logging and error checking.
