How to Copy Data from PostgreSQL to BDE - Step-by-Step

1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor

  • Create a PostgreSQL Connection by entering server, port, database, username, and password
  • Create a BDE Connection by selecting the BDE alias or database directory

2. Create a New Transformation

Right-click on a transformation group and choose New to begin creating your data flow.

3. Configure Reader

  • Open Reader Properties by double-clicking the reader
  • Select the PostgreSQL connection
  • Choose a table or define a SQL SELECT query

4. Configure Writer

  • Open Writer Properties by double-clicking the writer
  • Select the BDE connection
  • Specify the destination table and insert mode (append, replace, truncate)

5. Map and Format Fields

  • Match PostgreSQL fields with BDE destination fields
  • Apply transformations or adjust formats if needed

6. Run the Transformation
