How to Copy Data from MySQL to SQL Server - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a MySQL Connection using host, port, database name, and login credentials
- Create a SQL Server Connection with server name, instance, authentication type, and target database
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click a transformation group and select New to build your data workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select your MySQL connection
- Choose a table or define a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select the SQL Server connection
- Choose the destination table and write mode (append, replace, truncate)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map MySQL fields to SQL Server columns
- Apply data transformations or conversions if needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). The data will be copied from MySQL to SQL Server with built-in logging, rollback, and error handling.
