How to Copy Data from MySQL to BDE - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a MySQL Connection using server name, port, database, username, and password
- Create a BDE Connection by specifying the alias and path to your BDE-configured database
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and select New to start building your data workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select your MySQL connection
- Choose a table or define a custom SQL SELECT statement
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select your BDE connection
- Choose the target table or file (e.g., Paradox or dBase)
- Select insert mode: append, truncate, or replace
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map MySQL source fields to BDE target fields
- Apply data transformations or conversions as needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Data will be copied from MySQL to your BDE system with logging, rollback, and error recovery support.
