How to Copy Data from Access to Oracle - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create an ODBC or OleDb Connection to your Access database (.mdb or .accdb)
- Create an Oracle Connection with hostname, port, service name/SID, and credentials
2. Create a New Transformation
In the transformation tree, right-click a group and select New to begin your data workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select your Access connection
- Choose the source table or define a custom SQL query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select your Oracle connection
- Choose the target table and write mode (append, truncate, replace)
5. Map and Transform Fields
- Align source columns with Oracle table structure
- Apply type conversions and transformations if needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (green arrow) to start the process. Progress is logged, and all steps are monitored for success or failure.
