How to Copy Data from SQL Server to ODBC - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a SQL Server Connection using server name, database, and authentication details
- Create an ODBC Connection using the appropriate DSN or connection string
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click a transformation group and choose New to create your data flow pipeline.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select the SQL Server connection
- Choose a table or write a custom SQL query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select the ODBC connection
- Specify the target table and insert mode (append, replace, truncate)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map SQL Server fields to ODBC destination columns
- Apply data type conversions and transformations if required
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow) to begin the data transfer. Advanced ETL Processor handles all logging, error recovery, and rollback automatically.
