How to Copy Data from SQL Server to Salesforce - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a SQL Server Connection with server name, instance, authentication method, and credentials
- Create a Salesforce Connection using login credentials and security token
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and select New to define the workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select your SQL Server connection
- Choose a source table or write a custom SQL query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select the Salesforce connection
- Choose the target object (e.g., Account, Contact, Opportunity)
- Specify the insert mode (insert, update, upsert)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map SQL Server fields to Salesforce object fields
- Apply transformations or custom formatting as needed
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Advanced ETL Processor will connect to both systems and copy the data automatically with logging and error handling in place.
