How to Copy Data from MySQL to Oracle - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a MySQL Connection using server address, port, database, username, and password
- Create an Oracle Connection using TNS, service name, SID, or EZConnect string
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click a transformation group and select New to create your automation workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader component to open Reader Properties
- Select your MySQL connection
- Choose the source table or define a custom SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer component to open Writer Properties
- Select the Oracle connection
- Choose the destination schema and table
- Select insert mode (append, truncate, or replace)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map MySQL fields to Oracle columns
- Apply necessary data type conversions or transformations
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Advanced ETL Processor will copy the data from MySQL to Oracle with full error handling, rollback, and logging support.
