How to Copy Data from MySQL to MariaDB - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a MySQL Connection using host, port, database name, and credentials
- Create a MariaDB Connection using compatible connection settings (same driver as MySQL)
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click a transformation group and select New to create your data workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select the MySQL connection
- Choose a table or write a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select the MariaDB connection
- Choose the destination table and insert mode (append, truncate, replace)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map MySQL fields to MariaDB columns (usually identical)
- Apply any necessary data transformations or type adjustments
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Data will be copied from MySQL to MariaDB with full logging, rollback, and error recovery support.
