The Tableau Hyper Writer creates Hyper files from transformation output. It is the writer target to use when the ETL job must hand Tableau a ready extract instead of another intermediate file. Fewer manual exports. Fewer mysterious files named final-final-v3.hyper.

If the Hyper file already exists, the writer can take the field list from the file. Otherwise, define or adjust the table structure manually before running the transformation. Hyper file work requires the 64-bit version, so check that before putting the workflow on a schedule.
