XML Data Example
To load XML data, simply set the data source type to XML and select the appropriate XML tags for Table Tag and Record Tag.

“Ignore Tags” is checked
Since the XML structure may not be immediately readable, we need to transform the XML into a more structured format using XSLT before it appears correctly in the grid.
About XSLT
XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) is used to convert XML documents into other formats, such as:
- Other XML documents
- HTML for web pages
- Plain text
- XSL Formatting Objects, which can be converted to PDF, PostScript, or PNG
Typically, the input document is an XML file, but XSLT can also process relational database tables and geographical data systems.

To access this dialog: open Data Reader properties, click XML file, check Transform XML, and click the Magnifying Glass button.
