How to normalize Cyrillic look alike characters in file name and XML content

It should be a single line for both of them.
They should have the same length
It does replace characters not phrases

Search for: 

Abcdef

Replace with:

123456

Starting from the first

A character is replaced with 1
b character is replaced with 2
c character is replaced with 3
d character is replaced with 4
e character is replaced with 5
f character is replaced with 6

Search for: are Cyrillic Characters
Replace With: are Latin Characters (English)



Starting from the first character:

Within the string Search for В Cyrillic Character if found replace it with B Latin Character (English)
Within the string Search for Т Cyrillic Character if found replace it with T Latin Character (English)
Within the string Search for О Cyrillic Character if found replace it with O Latin Character (English)
Within the string Search for в Cyrillic Character if found replace it with b Latin Character (English)
Within the string Search for т Cyrillic Character if found replace it with t Latin Character (English)
Within the string Search for о Cyrillic Character if found replace it with o Latin Character (English)

It works with the filename but doesnt work in the xml

Most likely it has something to do with encoding. 
File reader loads entire file into memory in raw format if your file in UTF-8 some characters can be more than 2 bytes.

Anyway there are multiple ways of doing it we will have a look and get back to to you
