How to Copy Data from PostgreSQL to MySQL - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a PostgreSQL Connection using server, port, database, username, and password
- Create a MySQL Connection by entering the MySQL Server and authentication details
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and choose New to start your workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader to open Reader Properties
- Select the PostgreSQL connection
- Choose the table or define a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer to open Writer Properties
- Select the MySQL connection
- Specify the target table and define the insert mode (append, replace, truncate)
5. Map and Format Fields
- Map PostgreSQL source fields to MySQL target columns
- Apply any necessary transformations or data type conversions
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button (Green Arrow). Advanced ETL Processor will copy the data from PostgreSQL to MySQL with full logging, validation, and error handling.
