How to Copy Data from MariaDB to MySQL - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a MariaDB/MySQL Connection for your MariaDB database (hostname, port, database name, username, and password)
- Create another MariaDB/MySQL Connection for your MySQL target database with its connection details
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and select New to create a new workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader object
- Select the MariaDB/MySQL connection for your MariaDB source
- Choose a source table or enter a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer object
- Select your MariaDB/MySQL connection for the MySQL target
- Choose the target schema and table
- Set the action (insert, update, or replace)
5. Map and Transform Fields
- Map MariaDB fields to MySQL columns
- Apply transformations as needed (e.g., date/time formats, numeric precision, character sets)
