How to Copy Data from Firebird to InterBase - Step-by-Step
1. Launch Advanced ETL Processor
- Create a Firebird/InterBase Connection for your Firebird database by specifying the database file path, hostname (if remote), username, and password
- Create another Firebird/InterBase Connection pointing to your InterBase database
2. Create a New Transformation
Right-click on a transformation group and select New to create a new workflow.
3. Configure Reader
- Double-click the reader object
- Select the Firebird connection
- Choose a source table or enter a custom SQL SELECT query
4. Configure Writer
- Double-click the writer object
- Select the InterBase connection
- Choose the target table and set the action (insert, update, or replace)
5. Map and Transform Fields
- Map Firebird fields to InterBase columns
- Apply transformations or conversions as needed (e.g., DATE vs TIMESTAMP handling, text encoding, numeric precision)
6. Run the Transformation
Click the Run button to execute the transfer. Logs will display real-time progress and any issues encountered.
