Visual Importer ETL Enterprise is designed to automate the data warehouse loading process.

Typical usage of it would be to download files from FTP Server, load them into the database, run stored procedure or SQL script and send an email to the administrator once the package is completed. Unlike Oracle SQL loader, BCP or SSIS Visual Importer ETL Enterprise can also add new and update old records based on the primary key.

How our customers use Visual Importer ETL Enterprise

There are a lot of ETL tools available on the market at the moment.

Most of them quite expensive and all they do is load data from file or table 'X' into table 'Y' and some transformations in the middle.
It is almost impossible to use such kind of application for the outsiders of the IT world.
Things became even more complicated when you want to do something a little bit different like process email attachments and load them into the database.
It would probably require employing a full-time programmer to do it.

Another point of consideration:

What if you got a very tight budget and must do this kind of job just one time per year.

Like our customer John Talker from NY.

According to the latest government regulation, every state school must make the results of exams available for the public.
Our objective was a little bit more different. In our department, we wanted to benchmark the cost of running a school in relation to exam results.

We managed to complete the first part of the plan very quickly and we started to receive data from the schools.

Very soon we realized that we are receiving a amount of data which we can't process on time because we have not got enough staff.
we started to look for a tool to help us to automate our routine tasks.
It was very easy to find tools to load data from text files provided by the schools into our database.
But it was not what exactly we wanted.
Since some of the schools were sending data via email others use the FTP site we wanted to process this data without human intervention.

We did a lot of search on the internet and finally managed to find a solution Visual Importer ETL Enterprise.

It was amazing how simple it was:

We created a dedicated email account, designed a package and with one hour we were able to start processing our data
