Introducing Dynamic Package Actions
We are currently in the process of adding Dynamic Package Actions to all ourETL Products, which come with four types of parameters:
- Static
- Variable
- EnvVariable
- Calculation
The values for these parameters are calculated or assigned based on their type before the action is executed. This approach simplifies the process compared to performing calculations directly within text boxes.
All new Dynamic Package Actions are represented by black-and-white icons, and we have already introduced 55 of them. Over time, we plan to duplicate all existing actions. The old-style actions will remain available for as long as needed to ensure we don’t disrupt our existing customers' workflows.
Additionally, we are working on breaking down complex actions into multiple simpler actions.
We recommend using Dynamic Package Actions for all new workflows. The wiki will be updated once the conversion is complete.
