Unable to Open Registry Key
This error often occurs when software is installed by a standard user instead of an administrator.
Solution
Step 1: Open Registry Editor with Administrative Rights
- Press Win + R, type
regedit, and press Enter.
- Right-click on Registry Editor and select Run as Administrator.
Step 2: Locate the Problematic Registry Key
- Navigate to the specific registry key indicated in the error message.
- Right-click the key and select Permissions.
Step 3: Modify Access Rights
- In the Permissions for [Key Name] dialog, ensure that Everyone has Full Control.
- If not, click Add, type
Everyone, and assign Full Control.
