Schedule Crystal reports generation

Dear Mike,

Thanks for your good suggestion and got your concepts. Now we can prepare a sample Crystal report printing package and train our non-technical users to clone this package a new package and only update the variables in set variables action for the different reports.

For your suggestion of storing the variables in database and looping it, could you provide examples of it?

BTW, we have many similiar programs built by VBA, VB.net/C# calling MS office objects(e.g. Excel, Word, Access, Outlooks and Powerpoint) for automation. We would like to integrate them into AETL in this way. Is it possible to add language for VBA, VB.net/C# to Script action so that we can move the existing script easily instead of re-writing them into Pascal.

1 Better option would be to put script into a separate package.

 

That way you would have only one script to modify

3 Regarding adding support for VBA 

It might be possible but it will take some time 

 

I have spent some time trying to find a way of integrating VB into our software and could not find anything which will suite our needs.

My suggestion is to use command line interface

This can be easily done by using External Application action

Highly appreciated your support on the study of VBA integeration and We will use Pascal script action for integration.

BTW, we found this site PascalABC.net in which Pascal can call .net library for integration. Would like to know .net library can be called in Pascal script action?
