Clarion Database Support

We have a project that uses the newer Clarion database tables (.TPS rather than .DAT). Clarion was acquired by a company called SoftVelocity, which introduced the updated “TopSpeed” file format.

I’m trying to determine whether ETL‑TOOLS supports .TPS database files.

I’ve reviewed the wiki and attempted to use the Clarion reader, but I haven’t had any success so far.

 

TopSpeed ODBC driver is the only option at the moment.

It is technically possible to add support for TPS but it is a rather complex task and it cannot be done quickly.Can I ask you to email us some sample files so we ca use them for testing.

Hi Bill,Some good news for you: we have just released a new version of Advanced ETL Processor, and it now includes support for Clarion TPS files.It would be very interesting to hear whether this approach is faster than using ODBC.Please give it a try, and let us know if you encounter any issues or have any feedback.
