"Python is not properly initialized" error

I get the message "Python is not properly initialized" when attempting to run this simple script with sample input in the Calculation feature of a transform:

I'm using the 64-bit version of Advance ETL Processor Professional.
I've installed python on my windows machine according to the instructions on "Working with Python":  ETL-WIKI - Working with Python
My path shows that the 64-bit version of python is found and running python at the command prompt gives me the python repl
 

However, attempting to run the script in the calculation editor gives the above error: 
 

In the execution logs for the transform I see a value substituted correctly for '[F001]' with these errors:
 

How can I troubleshoot this issue further?

Version 3.13 is not yet supported, please try 3.11 and let us know the outcome 

We will add support for python 3.13 to the next release.

 

Thanks for your response. After installing python 3.11.9 I don't get the error.

For other users it may be helpful to update the KB with easily findable information about the versions of python that Advanced ETL Processor has been tested with.

FYI: The latest version supports working with python 3.13 and 3.14
