Remind me what HTTP Monitor does

with HTTP Monitor ,

• Can I I can host my own webpage/simple form & http monitor can monitor the submission on the same?
• Can I get a simple example of the HTML page and the submission ?
• This submission can go in to SQL database?

 

The functionality of HTTP Monitor is rather limited comparing to URL logger

It only supports HTTP get method,
Does not save anything in the database
All it does it triggers package execution when URL is accessed

The center stage and native integration inside AETL given to HTTP monitor is too much compared to my beloved URL logger 

So I host a page , whenever the page is read , it triggers s page , no data is saved , if a form is submitted , it cannot access the content of the form too?

Form submission is not supported

Is there a specific code that's needed ? Can I get an example of a simple 2 field  webpage which does this , let's say we ask user name and message ? I have an idea bubbling which I would like to experiment with .

It does not support forms. Forms use post method. It only work with get method.
