Replacing {{placeholders}} in html file

Hi, 
I have a html file containing placeholders like 

dear {{full_name}}, 
We have received your application to apply to {{company}}. We will revert to you shortly 

thanks again {{full_name}}

how do I pass values to these , so they can be replaced with variables of choice .

do I need to recreate the html file always using text output or I can use template file and replace values inside ? 

Am I correct in my assumption that this file will become body of html email?

actually we are evaluating prince xml as an alternative to (ETL sql)reporting feature . We create an HTML file, run a package using prince to convert the html to pdf then 

short answer - no it won’t become 

1 You can use report generator to create pdf files.
Some of our customers use it to generate invoices 

2 You can use file operation to replace text in html files
(There are other ways of doing it as well)
