Repository QUEUE Table

Hi

Is it permissible to insert a row into the QUEUE table from an external program?

I'd like to trigger a package to run when an external process outside of the AETL ecosystem has completed by basically calling executeObject(xxxx) but because this application is not AETL and not able to access a shell to call aetlcl.exe directly I wanted to know if I can simply insert a ROW into the QUEUE and just let the normal service pick it up.

If I can then what would be the convention for populating the columns as there are quite a few and I wouldn't have the details for them.

thanks for your time
bruce
