Error after testing MySQL Connection

Hi Team (me again)

Not sure if I can summarise this well enough as I was doing a few things to get myself up to speed with the Dynamic Actions. But basically

• Created MySQL Connection and tested the connection - all ok
• Created another MySQL Connection to different database - all ok
• Created another MySQL Connection in a style I have used in the past where the database name is calculated basd on a GLOBAL VARIABLE
  • eg. fishnet_#GLB_ENV#
  • #GLB_ENV# would be either 'live' or 'test' 
  • End result would be fishnet_live or fishnet_test
  • Tested Connection - OK

BUT then when I click on any of the connections or even the group I get error attached. I have also attached a sample of the connection panel
appreciate knowing if global variables can still be used this wat or if there is a more modern way of achieving the same result

 
 



 

Most likely it is the repository configuration issue. The wiki has an article dedicated to configuring mysql repository. To be honest I do not know anyone using mysql as a repository. Most of our customers us ms sql expess

Yes, I would normally use SQL Server. However, this is a vendor hosted server with an existing MySQL instance, and I whilst I can fall back to SQL Express if I need, I am wanted to minimise my footprint and use what was already available.

I will take a look to see if I have mucked anything up. Early days so I can blow away the Repo if I need to

I'm going to change to using SQL Express as well. I noted a couple of articles on the forum that indicated some issues and since you don't have a big mySQL User base I can do without the headaches.
