Req - External Application - Replace Variable

Currently ,

1. in parameters If I wish to include a variable , I need to first keep it static, then enter my string , then come back and change it to variable 
2. while it's variable , if I click the ... button it opens the variable window

 

I propose having SQL to variable type , REPLACE VARIABLE option , 
 
 

There s a better option if you double click in the middle of the edit box you will see another editor

The menu has no "Insert variable" option but we will add it to the next release

It would be great if we can also have variables which have been defined from the same package

SET VARIABLES list also 

and an absolute mega monster cherry on top would be if script defined variables can be picked up like etltools.SetVariable('#s3_url#', final_s3_url)

 

If you run the package once you will see all the variables.
