Upon further investigation , SQL Record to Variable fails , SQL to variable works fine

Working with "SQL Record to Variables" and "SQL to Variables" actions can be confusing.

Can you give an example of , where this would be useful?

I am unable to think of scenario (but I am not a database admin) , where Sql To Variables Dynamic Action will be useful , hence the question to you , if I can get an example

Here it is

The Sql To Variables Action loads variable values from a SQL or Database table record set, using the first field for variable names and the second field for variable values, while ignoring any additional fields.

Table creation script:
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[variable_values](
    [variable_name] [varchar](50) NULL,
    [variable_value] [varchar](50) NULL)
GO
