I had a quick look at the source

Most of parameters on "The Request tab" are taken from "Parameters Tab" (Static Only)

The Request tab is there for your convenience so you can do some testing. To some extend it functionality similar to Postman of Bruno.

I am in agreement , but during testing it's easier for user(such as myself) to move around and see various options ,it's little jarring when values are replaced suddenly with old ones without any indication to user.
 

What if we make it optional? or add a copy button?

Not following you
