About Clarion TPS

Clarion TPS (TopSpeed) is a proprietary file-based database format used by applications developed with the Clarion Development Environment from SoftVelocity . Files with the .TPS extension store data and indexes in a compact, high-performance format that supports compression, transaction processing, and multi-user access. Clarion TPS databases are commonly found in legacy business applications such as accounting, inventory, and healthcare systems. Although widely used in older desktop software, TPS files can be accessed and migrated to modern databases like Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL using specialized ODBC drivers and ETL tools.
