Re: Updating destination table

Hello. I was wondering if the following is possible. I have 2 different tables in my database. One is called SparesTransactions, and the other is LocationPerSpare. The first table has new lines added to it whenever there is a new transaction. The second table (LocationPerSpare) has only one line which is updated by the first table. Lets assume that LocationPerSpare has an amount in the column QTY = 5. We now capture a new transaction in the first table (SparesTransactions), with a transaction quantity = 7. Is there some way of updating LocationPerSpare so that the new QTY = 12 (5 original quantity + 7 new transaction quantity)?

Ca I use the Calculation field to add this new amount to an existing amount. The database is Microsoft SQL Server.

As mentioned, the Transaction_Qty (multiple lines), in the table SparesTransaction updates the Qty in the table LocationsPerSpare (single line per location).
