IMAP4 Extraction Mask to handle multiple elements

AELTP : v6.3.4.9 x32

Hi,

I was wondering if you might consider enhancing the IMAP4 Package Action by allowing the Extraction Mask to provide multiple masks?

In our case we receive a mail message with multiple attachments with different extensions (.pdf, .csv, .xlsx)

For the ETL we need the .csv and the .xlsx files (which have to be used as a pair). So we are going to extract the ones we need and then zip them up together as a batch that can be processed downstream later.

The workaround at the moment is to extract all of the attachments, delete the ones we don't need and then zip the remaining ones up. Whilst this works it generates a lot of unnecessary Disk I/O.

Thanks for your consideration.

This a very good suggestion and will benefit a lot of our users.
I think the best way to implement it is to replace Mask with Regular expression.
The Mask is very primitive and only support * and ? symbols.
This change will require some testing from our side

Agreed. Being able to formulate a RegEx would provide many options. For our requirements being able to provide or conditions on an attachment extension along with conditions on the attachment name would be great
