Generic REST API support

I'm a longtime user of Advanced ETL Processor and other integration/ETL products.

While I work in the business systems department, our product team has a need to integrate classroom roster information to and from school districts. This amounts to millions of student records. I've been told that the integrations rely upon REST Api's. I have used REST Api integration in another integration product and have written custom REST Api integrations using C# and Salesforce Apex.

While I see Advanced ETL Processor support for a generic Http connector, it's available only for the reader. There is no generic Http connector available for the writer. Are there any plans for supporting read/write REST Api integration functionality in Advanced ETL Processor? The competitor product that we use will not be able to handle the volume of data that needs to be integrated.

Simple REST writer is very easy to implement.
However, authentification if required can be complicated.

We have started working on adding support for Generic REST API

We have implemented Rest writer in the latest release.



This might not be entirely what you wanted and it might be necessary to extend it further based on our user's feedback.

Rest can be tricky to work with.
