Dear ETL-tools Team,
I would like to generate a transformation for downloading email attachments and saving them to different folders. Everything is clear for reading email via POP or IMAP and it is working. But I cannot manage to save the email attachment to a certain folder. The folder name has to be created based on calculations done during the execution of the transformation. So the folder name and path is for every email specific. I am at the point that I can read out the email attachments for every email. It is showing up with "Atachment 01", "Attachment 02" and so one. When I run the transformation it shows the content "Binary Date ...". Also files are created in the desired directory with the desired filename. But the content of the files is simply the text "Binary data ..." instead of the real attachment. How can I manage to save the binary data stream from the attachment to a physical file in a directory. See attached my transformation I used. Can you pleas help me and maybe provide me a sample transformation for this task?
Thank you very much!

Best regards
E. H.

Hello

Thank you for letting us know about this issue.
We added the check box for you called "Extract Attachments"

Please try the latest version and let us know the outcome.

Also not sure if you are aware but there are multiple ways of processing emails using our software.
In some situations Receive Email IMAP4 Loop Action is more appropriate

One f our customers Bruce Gibbins uses this functionality quite intensively
