Issues With SQL Lookup Transformation

I'm attempting to use the SQL Lookup transformation tool and running into an issue with having it run properly and store the resulting value back into the Excel spreadsheet.

The client we're working with has an Excel spreadsheet exported from Shopify, which we need to use the unique identifier Variant SKU to query the database for the available quantity, then record said value back into the spreadsheet.

I have the transformation reading & writing back the values, with the exception of the Variant Item Qty which is needing to query the database to get its value. Am I doing something incorrectly --- this is my first time utilizing this particular ETL feature and the video that was on the documentation page for SQL Lookup didn't refer to this feature in particular.

If you look very carefully you will notice that the parameter name is "Variant SKU" (parameters tab) but on source tab it is "<Variant SKU>", they should be the same
 

I made that change (assuming it should be <Variant SKU> used for both of them?), but no luck.

I've attached an PDF export of the log for the most recent attempted run, unless I'm misreading the output it seems like the transformation isn't actually running during this? (As it technically should set the value in those cells to "0" instead of being blank, based on the settings.)

If you want to extract Variant Item Qty using Variant SKU why SQL Lookup is mapped to Variant Item Qty input and not Variant SKU.
