SubReports - How to pass parameters or filter?

HI,
I have a simple report which showcases Pending Items and completed items in a BOM. See details below from a regular report

 
 

What I want to do instead is keep the output side by side , which should be possible via sub reports , as of now , I get "ALL" items

It seems , I need to write a code so parameter can be passed from primary report into subreport but all my effort fail OR set relationship by loading the data twice , I did that too but no avail

I reviewed the video you created and noticed that you are using only an ADOQuery object.In your situation, it would be beneficial to implement a master-detail relationship. This means you should have one ADOQuery object for the main report and another for the subreport.

I am trying it but how do I set the master - child relationship ? I mean which menu , button?

1. I did try to set in object inspector, is this what you mean?

2. There is also a bug , if you rename the next query ADOQUERY1 to something else, it's not updated in the object inspector of ADOQUERY , see my screenshot

3. After setting Master, what's the next step? how do I define the relationship , and define the filter

Lord the amount of time on this weekend I invested trying to figure this ,THANK you so much this.

This is a quick and dirty trial (it's 7AM here) . I required 3 queries , one for each type of status ' Pending' , Completed' and it's master
