[how to] More Robust Script Runs

Hellos,
I have a python script which when I run , 'hangs' AETL but the script keeps running & resumes after the script is done . Is there a more robust way to handle these 'hangs' so script can keep running in background? Example video below, after some times script finished & all was fine.

Well it is waiting for script to complete. In theory we can move execution into separate thread but event if AETL is responsive what are you going to do during this time? You can make any modifications to the package until the script execution completes.

A. It's easy for user to be confused , whether the script is running successfully or AETL has hanged. This will be one of those newbie friendly feature
B. User can continue to work on other parts of AETL if needed. 
C. Yes I agree no modification should be possible on package but suppose if user wishes to abort the package, it should be an option for them which currently is taken away till the script runs.
