[Req] Passing Report Name as a variable

hellos,
Whilst making JSON to PDF guide , I realised , almost 99% of all the reports I need have the same package 

1. Script which gets event id
2. Variables have all required items such as report name , report directory 
3. Only change is selection of the "report" , which also uses the same database aka url_logger

Is it possible to do this via a script function currently ?

I am confused about your question.

When you say report name are you talking about actual file name (eg pdf file name).

Or you have created 5 completely different reports and want to execute one of them depending on variable? 

I have 5 reports
1. Appointment
2. Interview result
3. Confirmation letter
4. Probation
5. Full & Final

5 packages to execute them 

The only thing different in each package is REPORT object, which forces you to hardcoded name of report.

With Case action 

• I don't need multiple packages , one package can incorporate all the 6 documents I need
• I don't need multiple URL logger address , one incoming address can essentially take care 
• It just looks so cool to present this. 

My future request will still be essentially a facility to enter report id instead of hardcoding it, that means if my webook can contain reportID , I essentially have 1 single package , which can "in theory" take care of everything. 
 

FYI we have started working on "Dynamic Package Actions"
(Not sure that it is a right name for it...)

Anyway the idea is very simple action parameter have four types

• Static
• Variable
• EnvVariable
• Calculation

Depending on parameter type values are calculated/assigned before action execution  
I think it is much simple and easy solution comparing to what we have now.
New "Dynamic Package Actions" will have black and white icons. We have already added one Dynamic Package Action to the latest release (Ask Question)
Eventually we will duplicate all exiting actions. We will keep old style actions a long as necessary, we do not want to upset existing customers.
We are also planning to split complex actions into multiple actions

For example File operation to

• Copy files
• Move Files
• Create Directory
• Delete Directory 
• ETC
