Calculation - Pascal - How to concat string

Hellos,
Assuming I know calculations are slow , I am not seeing any function which can join strings together. Even using + operator is giving operator or semicolon error. 
Lots is variable

Result := lots;
Result := Result + ' lots 1st ';

OK figured it, it works, I was My variable name was LOTS and I want LOTS literally written also which gave the error

otherwise concat works properly with +
