TOPIC: unc path

unc path 1 week 2 days ago #19532

We have migrated our network to AWS
One of the projects is to redo and enhance our ftp servers and processes
Because of this the UNC path used in our ETLs will change
a couple of questions
1. if I change the directory definition, will all objects using the disrectory automatically change or do I need to open, verify and save every object?
2. Can I use SQL scripts to change what I find in the sql tables?
3. some objects like emails hide there details in binary fields
Do you guys have a tool that can search every object and based on a pattern search and change the file folder strings or am I looking at a very time consuming project?

If you change unc path it will be automatically changed inside transformers bot, not package objects.
For package objects, the best option is to use Variables inside a path that makes changing it much easier.

Is it feasible to have all needed windows folders, required for any of your objects, to be processed thru the directory?
Emails attachments, data exports as well as what is currently defined.
You go to one place to adjust what is needed, and it works as of the next execution.
Enhancement?
