Add To Library Feature Request

Hi

I would like to offer another feature suggestion which is based on our drive to make certain scenarios reusable or at least to allow the Object Library to store reusable components.

I believe that this facility could be greatly enhanced if it was possible to store a set of linked objects and not just a single object.

For example in the attached screenshot I am using a literal in an SQL Lookup to locate an associated Entity ID value from the database. If I select all of the linked objects and Add To Library, then only the SQL Lookup component is stored.

Ignoring the fact that SQL lookups are slow and we could (and do) do this through stored procedures down stream in the associated package it does sometimes make development easier if we could just do the lookup in the transformation when performance is not an issue.

Therefore, if we could just add the basic action object template into the transformation and then rework the input parameters accordingly, it would save having to reenter all of the inputs and outputs again.

Thank you for your feedback.
There is a batter option available already.
It is called sub-transformations.
They were created to be reusable and can be added to the objects library.

Also not sure if you are aware that it is possible to create tabs within the transformation.
You may find it useful for complex transformation.
