Object Search was created by bruce.gibbins
Hi
I was wondering it would be possible to request a feature improvement around the Object Search facility. As our Project Tree gets larger it has become a little more time consuming to locate specific objects. The Search will find it and identify that it is a Package (for example) but it does not show the parent package and group that it belongs to. What would be great is if it could show that but even it could allow to position you to that location in the project tree.
Would save a good deal of looking especially if someone has called two objects the same thing.
This would also help in the Find Where Used function.
cheers

Hi. I know this may be pushing the friendship but would it be possible to also include the "Project" in which the Parent exists? It would be fantastic if double clicking on one of the entries either took you directly to that entry in the Project Explorer. But at the very least adding Project in would give a quick understanding of where the object is. Plus if the column arrangement matched the hierarchy of the Project Explorer then it would feel more intuitive (eg. Project | Type | Parent | Name )
cheers and thanks again for being so responsive to a suggestion.

The project is rather difficult to include because the object can have multiple parents.
project > object type > object group > object 1> object 2 > object 3 -> object 4 etc.
We will add it to the list of things to do.

Understand. I was only looking at it from the Project Explorer perspective but see exactly what you mean. Thanks for taking the time to review the suggestion.
