Windows Event Log Monitor was created by bruce.gibbins

Hi. I suspect this would not have a huge user base but I have a use case and thought AETL would be a good tool to use given all of its other capabilities. On occasion we have a need to monitor for specific events appearing in a Windows Event Log on a server. My thoughts were to trigger a database table write when such an event occurs, logging some text within the event detail along with timestamps etc. I can script this and even place it within a Windows Server Scheduled Task Event Watcher but given that I need to transform the content of the message and do some lookups to other reference data then I thought that an event log monitor within AETL would be handy given it can do 99% of the function.

Just a thought
cheers
