Unspecified Error

Unspecified Error was created by bilgin

Have been using DatabaseBrowser Portable for a while. Decided to update, but since the update cannot access our ODBC database.

It says the connection is fine when testing. Clicking on the Database name brings up the list of tables. But when I search for a table it hangs and refreshes on every keystroke and when I eventually click on a table, I get Unspecified Error. You can see it in action in the attached gif.

I've also installed the executable and added the connection from scratch. Still the same. No issues connecting with other database programs on the same PC.

Any idea?

What is the database type you are working with?

Tried that. Still the same, unfortunately. It is an ODBC db.

Going back to the previous version on my portable installation also displays the same problems.

I just finished installing the ODBC drivers and the data source on a fresh computer and still the same. There definitely hasn't been any changes in the database server. This error literally occurred with me upgrading the portable version I had. And my ODBC connection works just fine with sqldbx and Excel as usual.

Main PC is Win 10, but have also tried it on Win 7, again, fresh. Asking our IT guy to restart the server after hours and will see if that fixes it.

We do not have your driver inhouse or the database so we cannot provide with the exact solution to your problem.
Our software uses ODBC+ OleDb for ODBC connections.

You can try playing with driver parameters it might help but there is no guarantee
