ETL: Firebird 1.5 > Microsoft SQL Server was created by Click
Hello,
I need to extract data from Firebird v1.5 and load it to Microsoft SQL Server (version to be confirmed but possibly earlier that 2017). I currently have connected to a local copy of the database (using ODBC) for a PoC but hit data processing limitations on the 32-bit architecture. So I am currently looking for an ETL tool to assist with data integration. Can you handle this job?
Kind Regards,

Good evening
Our software Advanced ETL Processor Enterprise works with both Interbase and Firebird
www.etl-tools.com/advanced-etl-processor...rprise/overview.html
It connects using TCP/IP so both 32-bit and 64-bit versions should work
I have sent you the license key for you so you can test as long as you wish
Please keep us posted on your progress we are keen to make sure that it works for you

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the quick reply – much appreciated.
So safe to assume that I can install the 64-bit version and be able to communicate with 32-bit Firebird with no issues, right?
Also, what is the difference between a single license and a site license?
Regards,
C

Hi
1. So safe to assume that I can install the 64-bit version and be able to communicate with 32-bit Firebird with no issues, right?
yes it should work
use server-name:c:\folder\database.gdb format to connect via TCP/IP
2 LICENSING
There are two types of licenses available
1. A single computer usage license. The user purchases one license to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on one computer.
2. A SITE usage license. The user purchases a site usage license, authorising the use of SOFTWARE PRODUCT, by the purchaser, the purchaser's employees or accredited agents, on an unlimited number of computers at the same physical site location. This site location would normally be defined as a single building but could be considered to be a number of buildings within the same, general, geographical location, such as an industrial estate or small town.

Hi Mike,
Sounds great.
Thank you. Let me install it and get to work.
If I come right I will be positioning your tool with my client (as part of the solution arch).
Have a great day further.
