Automated Email Processing was created by Ronald

Hello

I've set up a simple project that just takes the attachment them moves it to a file share but it seems to hang and not become responsive and doesn’t seem to do anything after I click the green arrow.

We are planning to have it running every 5 mins to grab any new emails in the mailbox and move it to the file share.

A couple of things:

1 Do not delete messages you may need them later, move them into a different folder.

2 If the mailbox has a lot of messages it will take a while to find the message you need.

The "A.ETL" will read all messages till it finds the one you need. No much we can do about it this is how IMAP4 works.

I think what you need to do is prove that "A.ETL" can actually read the message without a filter first:

a. Change "delete message" to "move message" to the folder and select the folder.

b Untick extract attachments.

c. Untick "Subject is"

d. Run it.

It should read the first message and move it into the folder

If it fails post here the log.

That seems to have worked thanks

I changed the IMAP4 to point to the outbox where I put a file with an attachment in it told it to look for a subject and move it to junk mail and it worked.

I’ll set up a few more to look for different subjects and move to different file share, once that’s done how do I export them as windows jobs to run every 5 minutes do you have a document I can try and implement them?

Many thanks for your help

Hi Ron

A.ETL has an integrated scheduler that you can use

Please read the following tutorial

www.etl-tools.com/wiki/knowledgebase/understanding_scheduler

Let me know if it helps or not
